Innovative high-capacity primary (non-rechargeable) battery based on Graphene. Grafenika’s superior primary battery has over x2-3 times more capacity for SoTA primary batteries and x10-20 times more than SoTA rechargeable batteries.

ABOUT GRAFENIKA

Grafenika is an innovative Israeli startup well advanced in Nano technologies using Graphene for energy efficient primary (and later for secondary) batteries. Grafenika has developed unique technology for high-capacity primary batteries - superior to the currently used technology by most other batteries’ vendors.

The team has a significant number of developments in the field of nanotechnology, both obtaining new innovative materials for energy-saving devices and in metal nano-objects used for micro-nanoelectronics, and also continuously work on creating new and improving existing materials.

The Company employs highly skilled specialists including Ph.D.’s and several academicians. The team has an extensive experience in implementing high-tech and knowledge-based projects starting from the concept and to the industrial design.

Grafenika’s team has developed a new carbon nano-composites raw material which has unique properties. This Graphene differs in performance, reproducibility, scalability and environmental friendliness.

LI-ION GRAPHENE PRIMARY BATTERY

Grafenika is one of the first companies that was able to successfully apply the properties of Graphene materials as a cathode. Using Graphene-oxide, Grafenika’s cell doesn’t have self-discharge before using the battery.

The new Li-Graphene technology allows an outstanding capacity record and absence of binders and conductive additives. In addition, thanks to the absence of heavy metals in the battery, the product is eco friendly.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Intellectual Property: The chemical current source is already protected by the international patent application PCT / RU2019 / 050254, December 23, 2019. The invention of “Primary chemical current source based on Graphene // RF Patent No. 2706015. 2019. Bull. No 32. In addition, the manufacturing process of the main active components of a chemical current source contains a number of original technological know-how.

Results were validated by an external independent assessment. The external tests confirmed the capacity of 600-1000 mAh/g of the Grafenika’s High-Capacity Graphene battery at a voltage of 2.5 V and discharge current of C/2.

MANAGEMENT

Mr. Mark Geller
CEO 

Mr. Geller has extensive experience in launching start-up companies, in the search for seed financing, in bringing innovative products to the market, and is the author of several inventions. MR. Geller played a key role in finding partners and establishing guidelines for the commercial implementation of energy storage devices based on their technical characteristics and innovative advantages. He also headed the development of  technological solutions for the industrial production of new carbon nano materials.

Mr. Eli Basson
CMO

Working with the Company since 2013. Mr. Basson has over 25 years of experience in high-tech from start-ups to large public companies (NASDAQ). In his career he developed several products (some has registered patents) and closed and implemented multimillion dollars projects. Mr. Basson held various executive positions as VP for R&D, VP for Sales & Marketing and CEO. Mr. Basson is a partner to few start-up companies and also was involved in 3 successful IPO’s and fund raising. Mr. Basson hold his B.Sc., Electrical Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion, Israel) and his Master of Science in Management (Lesley, USA).

Mr. Gleb Cheglakov
Strategic Customers Manager

Mr. Cheglakov started working in high tech sector in collaboration with Philips in Singapore, Thailand and China since 2005. He has been involved in M&A of a number of IT/tech companies both as part of an investor group and as a representative of a company that’s been acquired. He has been running IT firms since 2010. Mr. Cheglakov is currently completing his PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge.
